Marching drills were held on Apr 11 at Northern Fleet (NF) as a preparation for Victory Day's military parade to be conducted on May 9 in Murmansk and Severomorsk. Over 1,000 servicemen of NF surface/submarine units, coast guard, and naval aviation, officers of EMERCOM and internal troops will participate in the parade.
According to NF Commander's press-secretary Capt 1 rank Vadim Serga, participation of Norwegian mariners will be a distinctive element of the coming festivities. Norwegian frigate F313 Helge Ingstad is expected to pay friendly visit to Northern Fleet on the eve of the Victory Day.
