The people of Espiritu Santo, Vanuatu, have welcomed the Pacific Partnership 2011 team with a traditional ceremony symbolising peace, unity, and harmony at Nakamal Chief Lodge.
Civilian volunteers and military representatives from Australia, Canada, New Zealand and the US attended the ceremony, along with representatives from the Vanuatu, Australian, New Zealand and American governments.
USS Cleveland arrived in Vanuatu on the 28th April and joined HMAS Betano and HMAS Balikpapan, and HMNZS Canterbury who had arrived several days earlier.
